CENTENNIAL, Colo. (KDVR) – Authorities are looking for thieves who stole an expensive puppy from a southern subway pet store.
The manager of Perfect Pets on South University Boulevard said that on Tuesday a family entered the store, where a member finally slipped through the back door with a Shih Tzu.
“They served themselves,” explains manager Rose Larsen.
The suspects are partly captured by video surveillance.
The puppy is valued at around $ 3,000.
This is not the first time that Perfect Pets has fallen victim. In early 2019, another puppy was stolen. Larsen says the dog was eventually recovered.
As was the case then, fear now: the last stolen puppy risks ending up on the black market.
“You would really think,” Larsen adds, “that one family, in particular, what kind of example does that set your children? “
If you have seen the dog, please call the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
